What will I learn from my day?
Each driver has a different ability and therefore a different starting point so the training content will vary for each individual. You will learn how to drive quickly and safely with a smooth and relaxed driving style. You must also understand that you will not be able to learn everything in one hit, it takes time depending on level of skill / capability.
Why spend on tuition when I can just upgrade my car faster?
Anyone can drive a car fast in a straight line. It’s the ability to see the corner before you get there and know what you are going to do once you get there. Driving is a skill and if you master that skill then you can take on anyone. The feeling you get when you beat someone who has a better car than you is like pulling the best looking girl in the paddock. Just bear in mind that anyone can learn but you will learn much faster from a proven professional racing driver.
I’ve got a fast car and I'm quick on track days, what am I going to get from professional driver coaching?
The rule here is that no-one ever stops learning. There is always something to develop. The fact is that every championship winner has had some form of professional tuition. I can guarantee that a professional driver will jump into your car and simply go quicker, therefore you need to learn how to drive it. You could be a quick driver but too aggressive, you might actually be too smooth, you are not going to know until you put yourself against a proven race winner.
We speed up the process of learning by pointing you in the right direction not only for driving technique but for guidance on race craft, set up and winning strategies, saving years of potentially costly mistakes.
What will you get from me that you will not get from another licensed instructor?
Each instructor has different levels of experience, expertise and communication skills. In my case I have been racing for 17 years and have been instructing for 7 years. During this time I have refined the art of driving, racing and instructing. My clients have gone on to win races and my most prestigious result has been as driver coach for Mardi Gras Motorsport in the Renault Clio Cup 2006 where we finished third in the championship. Also in this year we had one of our other drivers finish on the podium, bearing in mind he only started racing at the beginning of 2006, you’ll agree that is quite an achievement. Also, Nikki Welsby won the 2006 Formula Woman Championship and is now racing in the 2007 Renault Clio Cup.
